our story
From Ceremony to
Everyday Ritual.
Created to bring the grounding ritual of ceremonial cacao into modern everyday life through slower moments of presence, connection and intention.
After leaving her corporate career, Gizelle began holding regular classes and gatherings in London centred around the four pillars of sound, reiki, yoga and cacao ceremonies. Within these spaces, sharing a warm cup of ceremonial cacao quickly became a grounding ritual, a way for people to slow down, soften and reconnect both with themselves and with each other.
What began within these gatherings naturally evolved into something she wanted to bring into everyday life. Not as an occasional ceremony, but as a daily ritual. A cup in the morning before the day begins. A quiet moment in the afternoon to reset.

Rooted
at origin.
At the centre of I AM BEING is ceremonial grade cacao, handmade on Flores Island, Indonesia. A remote volcanic island where biodiversity still thrives naturally and large-scale monoculture never took over.
The cacao grows within multi-layered forest systems amongst vanilla, banana, clove, nutmeg and native jungle canopy, rooted within mineral-rich volcanic soil without the use of chemicals or synthetic fertilisers.

Working directly at origin allows every stage of the process to be carefully overseen, from harvesting and fermentation through to drying, roasting and refinement, preserving both the flavour and integrity of the cacao.
The result is cacao that feels rich, smooth and deeply grounding with soft notes of vanilla, warm spice and gentle earthiness. Naturally rich in magnesium, iron, antioxidants and theobromine, it offers a calmer and more sustained sense of energy compared to coffee.

Ceremonial cacao has long been used as a way to connect both inwardly and with others. I AM BEING honours this tradition whilst gently bringing it into a modern context centred around ritual, connection and being together.
At the heart of it all is the belief that even within busy lives, there is value in slowing down. In sitting together. In sharing a cup. In creating space for conversation, stillness and community.

about gizelle
Gizelle Renee
Gizelle is a Reiki Master and Teacher from the Usui lineage, a qualified Hatha and Vinyasa yoga teacher with 200-hour training and has also supported the training of other aspiring yoga teachers working towards the same certification. She is trained in functional breathwork and meditation, is a certified sound bowl healer and is also a certified cacao practitioner and trainer, now training other practitioners under I AM BEING to hold space through cacao ceremonies.
She also trained in psychology at the University of Bristol, where she achieved a 2:1 BSc Hons in Applied Psychology. Her dissertation, which explored the cognitive brain patterns that affect body dysmorphia, was later published in Sweden.
She was drawn to create a cacao brand rooted in tradition and deep respect for its origins, bringing it into the modern world in a way that feels calm, considered and accessible.
Through cacao and thoughtfully held spaces, her work is grounded in the belief that small, consistent moments of pause can have a meaningful impact on how we feel day to day. I AM BEING is a natural extension of this approach, designed to be lived with, not just experienced.
