Do NOT apologise for being you; be UNAPOLOGETICALLY you and trust your path. You are more than enough.
Here’s the thing: you already have the answers within you. You just need the clarity to hear them. And that clarity – what is that? I woke up this morning to a message from one of my best friends, Dervla (thanks darling), who sent me this post about waking up being 90 years old and looking back at myself when I was 40 (well…nearly) – as I am today. I realised that all this anxiety about where to lead I AM BEING, and my life, isn’t necessary. I know what to do, I unapologetically care deeply about people and healing and that is my truth. It comes from the deepest part of me and its authentic. So, I made myself a cup of ceremonial Cacao and I sat with myself. Clarity is this triggering word, don’t let it be, remove the cascade of thoughts and let it be. Remove expectations. Clarity comes from mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork because clarity is within you – just as you are. Just as I am. Just as WE are.
THE POWER OF MINDFULNESS: WHY IT MATTERS
Mindfulness is not about achieving an empty mind. It’s about being fully present in your life, embracing every moment without judgment. It’s about cutting through the noise and tuning in to what actually matters—your truth, your direction, your intuition.
When you cultivate mindfulness, you stop living in the past, obsessing over ‘what ifs’, or worrying about the future. Instead, you root yourself in the now, where your power exists.
Mindfulness is your ‘magic’ ticket to clarity. It removes the fog of overthinking and self-doubt, allowing you to see your path with confidence. The more present you become, the more aligned you feel with your purpose, and the easier it is to trust yourself. Sitting with yourself is hard, but my gosh is it powerful.
So, how do you actually do this? That’s where meditation and breathwork come in and I am here to help!
MEDITATION: YOUR INNER COMPASS
Meditation is not about sitting cross-legged in silence for hours and to be honest, that’s actually counter-productive. It’s about creating space for yourself, however that looks. Five minutes, ten minutes, an hour—it doesn’t matter. What matters is showing up.
Here’s how and why meditation can help you find clarity and trust your path:
It quiets the noise. Your mind is constantly bombarded with information, expectations, and fears. Meditation filters out the unnecessary so you can focus on what’s real.
It connects you to your intuition. When you sit in stillness, you start to hear the whispers of your gut feelings, the deep knowing that’s always been there but buried under distractions.
It builds self-trust. The more you practice tuning in, the more you realise that you don’t need validation from the outside world. You are already enough. Taking time out for yourself is showing up for yourself, loving yourself. Please do this more, its imperative to your wellbeing.
TRY THIS: A SIMPLE MEDITATION FOR CLARITY
- Find a comfortable, quiet space. Close your eyes.
- Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold for a moment, and exhale slowly.
- Focus on your breath. Feel the inhale expand your lungs, the exhale release tension.
- As thoughts arise, acknowledge them without attachment and return to your breath.
- Set the intention: I trust my path. I am exactly where I need to be.
- Sit in this stillness for at least five minutes. When you’re ready, open your eyes and carry that energy into your day.
BREATHWORK: RESET YOUR MIND AND BODY
If meditation is your compass, breathwork is the fuel that keeps you moving forward.
Breath is powerful. It’s the one thing you’ve had since birth, and yet, most of us breathe shallowly, unconsciously, and inefficiently. Learning to control your breath is like hacking into your own nervous system—allowing you to shift from stress and uncertainty to calm and clarity in an instant. And, the best thing about it, you can do it anywhere – even on the crammed train journey home. It is your secret tool; your secret medicine.
THE LINK BETWEEN BREATH AND TRUST
When you’re stressed or doubtful, your breathing becomes short and shallow. Your body enters fight or flight mode, reinforcing fear and uncertainty – the SNS system I spoke about in my last post. But when you practise deep, intentional breathwork, you activate your parasympathetic nervous system—the part of you that promotes relaxation, balance, and clarity.
In other words, breathwork physiologically rewires you to trust and flow, rather than fear and resist.
TRY THIS: A BREATHWORK PRACTICE FOR TRUST AND CALM
- Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four.
- Hold the breath for four seconds.
- Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of six.
- Repeat for 5-10 minutes, focusing on letting go of tension with each exhale.
- Notice how your body softens, your mind clears, and trust begins to grow.
THE MAGIC COMBINATION: MEDITATION + BREATHWORK
When you combine meditation and breathwork, you create a powerful ritual for self-clarity and trust.
- Start with breathwork to reset your nervous system and clear any immediate stress or fear.
- Move into meditation to receive the insights and clarity your mind has been waiting to show you.
- Finish with a simple affirmation: I trust myself. I am exactly where I need to be.
Make this practice a daily habit, even if just for a few minutes. Clarity doesn’t come from external validation—it comes from within you – I can’t say this enough. You are the only one who can truly know your path. Trust that.
BE UNAPOLOGETICALLY YOU
Here’s the truth: You are not here to shrink yourself to fit into someone else’s expectations. You are not here to live in fear of making the ‘wrong’ decision. And I am victim of that in the past also. We all are.
You are here to be fully yourself, boldly and unapologetically.
Meditation and breathwork are not just tools; they are lifelines to your most authentic self. They strip away the doubt, the noise, and the fear, leaving you with the only thing that has ever truly mattered—your own inner knowing.
So breathe deeply. Be present. Trust yourself.
Your path is unfolding exactly as it should. And you? You are already enough.
Being,
